Hello my fellow freedom loving Americans!!  The day is finally here, election day 2008.  I am in Clovis, NM helping to get out the vote (GOTV).  I will be writing about updates here in NM.  Please feel free to comment below about other areas of the country!  Lines, problems, issues, results lets share the knowldge of what is happening at the ground level.

Ayers of Confidence

Obama must think he is untouchable. For over a year questions have been asked about his association with Bill Ayers, a known terrorist. The clip below sums up the situation pretty well. To highlight a few points and make a few of my own please read the commentary below the clip.

1. Bill Ayers is a Professor of English. My main concern here is that Ayers has a massive amount of influence over the “young skulls full of mush” as Rush would say. I was lucky that my college professors (well the majority) did not inflict their politic views upon me or ‘punish’ me for having and backing my own opinion. Most college students do not have that option. This man is having a significant influence in a dangerous place. Today Ayers serves on a national curriculum committee marching through education.
2. Obama was only 8 years old when Ayers committed terrorist acts against our country. Just a little common sense. If you KNEW that some one was a TERRORIST, because they committed terrorist acts, bombing public buildings etc., and ADMITTED to those acts, why in the world would you consider working with them no matter the situation. Obama is getting away with using the excuse of his age, when in fact it should be another nail in the coffin for the close association between these two individuals.
3. “I assumed that he had been rehabilitated.”- I ask you, how do you rehabilitate a terrorist? Answer- YOU DON’T!
4. Obama misled ABC News, dismissing Ayers as “just some guy in my neighborhood.” He even claimed at one point that their children all attended the same school. The only problem is that the two sets of children are at least 10 years apart. Obama has known Ayers for at least 13 years and possibly since 1988. Obama returned to Chicago in 1991 to work on voter registration with a project later related to a group mentioned below called ACORN.Ayers arranged for Barack Obama to chair the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC) board. Using that structure, Ayers funneled millions of dollars to friends, relatives, and sympathetic organizations with radical views of social justice. CAC granted money to ACORN, an organization Obama served as an attorney for cases to lower mortgage standards, that Obama later fed earmarks to, that his presidential campaign hired, and that is now under investigation in at least seven states for bogus voter registrations.Obama worked with Ayers three years as chairman, and until 2001 as board member. Ayers still champions radical social and educational views. Speaking before Hugo Chavez in Venezuela, Ayers said, “Teaching invites transformations, it urges revolutions small and large. La educacion es revolucion!” The Obama-Ayers professional working relationship allowed Ayers to promote his agenda at the expense of Chicago children’s education. Obama used his position on the CAC board to jump-start his political career, with Ayers and Dohrn hosting Obama’s first campaign party at their home.Obama has changed his story repeatedly, always trying to minimize his relationship with Ayers.
5. Obama says not to worry because Ayers has not endorsed him as a candidate.
6. How has endorsed Obama? “Hamas, the terrorist group that controls the Gaza Strip” endorsed Obama for president. In fact “Hamas’ political advisor, Ahmed Yousef, told WABC radio station, “We like Mr. Obama and we hope he will win the election.

Folks, I don’t know of a better reason to vote for McCain than that!!!!!

BBB- ($700) Billion Bailout Bill!

It is a sad day for America. This is one time in my life that I am ashamed to be from Texas. For anyone who knows me they might think that is impossible. So why do I feel betrayed by my elected leaders? The approval by the United States Senate, including Texas Senators Kay Bailey Hutchison, and John Cornyn, of the 700 BILLION dollar TAX PAYER paid bailout. The final vote, 74 to 25, passed this piece of socialist legislation to the House.

As Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C., a leading conservative, said the step is “leading us into the pit of socialism.” I hate to admit that Sen DeMint is correct.

This bill started out at 3 pages and increased to 450 pages. That what government does – it adds and takes instead of working the problem.

As a Rush Limbaugh listener said, “We have a crisis of confidence in government but not in the market.”

America THIS is your opportunity to make the difference! In the House of Representative the last vote was 205 for and 228 against. Only 12 TWELVE 12! votes are needed to pass this bill through Congress. Stand up for what you believe in! Contact your congressman! Take two minutes to email them or give them a call to vote NO on the $700 Billion Bailout Bill!

This is not over as Ronald Reagan said, “We fought, we dreamed and the dream is still with us.” The possibility of a keeping this country great is still alive. America needs your help!

“The additional 341 pages in the Senate version have nothing to do with the bailout per se, but instead are an energy bill and a tax bill. In short, the Senate version is the same as the failed House version, but with the addition of (1) the irrelevant FDIC provision, and (2) other unrelated legislation. And the House version was just a 110-page expansion of the Paulson’s original two-and-a-half page proposal that had lots of extra window-dressing, but little in the way of new substantive provisions that are actually mandatory, enforceable, and monitorable. This means that the Senate version of the bailout bill has the same flaws as the original Paulson bill.” – Economic Populist

The Blame Game

“Democrats don’t have a plan but they have blame.  They hate capitalism because it takes away their control. The liberal democrats, Obama in particular, are in favor of a socialist state.”

Rush Limbaugh has hit the nail on the head once again.  In fact only yesterday Obama, following the heels of Republican Vice President nominee Sarah Palin, criticized McCain’s plan to have a commission investigate into the better of the AIG crisis.  The bottom line is the Obama offers no plan.  He has not even a suggestion on how to resolve the issue.  Obama is “just words.”  His only plans include taking away freedom and implanting socialism.  The sad fact is he would not have to stretch that far.

There are so many different programs that already bear the markings of socialism, Social Security for instance.  The very name SOCIAL should be an indicator.  What does this program do?  It takes a little money from everyone, puts it in a pot, and then redistributes equally.  That my friends is socialism.  The only problem is that sooner or later, and as we are seeing now, some point of the equation changes.  That change could occur from greed, a feeling of inequality, or in this case a simple change in numbers.  Socialism has always failed and it always will.

As with any job, an expert who works daily in their field will always know more than any person relying totally on book knowledge.  That is the problem with those in power today.  Congress thinks that after a few briefs and speeches on a subject that they are expert enough to make major decisions.  Take the drilling bill that was forced through the House of Representatives yesterday.  “It allows big oil companies to drill where there is basically no oil.”  It is only a band-aid that they hope will blind American voters until the November election has passed.  It is not a fix to anything!

Government and Democrats in particular feel that they have a right and obligation to stick their finger in every single pie.  If they would just back away from the baked goods there would be a better product for the private sector to acquire and invest in.

Now we see where they stand.

Today is historic for several reasons.

Today marks the 20th anniversary of Rush Limbaugh’s radio broadcast.

Today also marks yet another turn away from democracy by the United States Congress, lead by the Democrats.

Today Nancy Pelosi and fellow House Democrats voted to recess for the summer instead of voting on pressing legislation dealing with energy and oil issues. This vote affects EVERY American! Instead of acting like the leaders they claim to be Pelosi and the House Dems chose their personal leisure time over their commitment to their constitutes. As if these reasons are not depressing enough the worst impact of this action takes the United States one step closer to the outlaw of procedure and historic rules of governance.

This is yet another card being played the Democrat party who are betting on the election in November. Obama has not wanted to take a stand on oil and energy issues is action by Congress allows him a pass to put aside the issue until after Congress comes back into session.

The cherry on top of this story is that House Republicans, within the rules of the US House with historical precedence, requested a recorded vote. The response was to have the lights and the microphones turned off to that Republicans could not bring up solutions to solve this energy crisis that the Dems have led us into and refuse to let us out of.

You maybe asking, “Why did I not see this on the news?” The answer is because before orchestrating this well planned maneuver Speaker Pelosi order that all cameras and reporters be removed.

The reason that America was made aware of this obamanation (yes that is intentional) was due to conservative radio talk shows hosts like Rush and Hannity. The Founders were correct- – -the US needs the freedom of the press.
